23…Let’s do this!

Well hello 2023!!! We all look forward to new beginnings each start of the year. Most call it “resolutions”. I have found I am more successful when I refer to them as “plans”.

If you recall last year’s “New Year’s Plans” were: a low carb eating routine, which included increasing my protein and water intake and moving more (I like that better than the word, “exercise”). I also said I would start at the upper corner of my house and clean room by room, including walls, windows, floors, EVERYTHING. Additionally, I had some professional goals that I didn’t share.

I would give myself a B+ for the first half of the year and a C for the second half. Many of us do that. We hit the ground running and then by midyear, we burn out. I am trying a different approach this year as part of my “New Year’s Plan”. My plans will be for the first half of 23. I will evaluate how I am doing with them on the Fourth of July and make the necessary changes to catapult me into a successful second half of 2023! Of course, I will take you along for the ride!

Here are my 2023 Plans…

  1. I will continue my low carb lifestyle. I will once again, make increased protein and water intake a priotity….and yes, I MUST “move more”.

  2. I have been working on a Christmas quilt for each of my girls for several years. I will have one completed by the year’s midpoint That will give me the second half to complete the other! Both girls WILL have their finished quilts by the holiday season.

  3. I will send a weekly newsletter. It will include an overview of things I have shared on @maradachaffins and @shop_marada throughout the week, as well as some behind the scenes of what’s going on in my personal life and bonus material that you will only find in the newsletter. You will want to subscribe here

  4. My word of the year is PERSIST. When I want to scroll facebook, instead of working on material for the blog, I must PERSIST. When I want to sleep in, instead of getting up at five to get started working, I must PERSIST. If I don’t get results that I had hoped for, or as quickly as I would like, I must PERSIST.

  5. I have some business goals for the year, that I won’t bore you with, but I just ask for your continued support. Share my accounts! Tag my accounts. Engage with my content. Trust me…that helps more than you could ever imagine.

Let me know your “plans” for 2023! Are you ready? Let’s do this!
